Whew! What a day! Here at the ranch we break off into smaller groups called Squads and Homebases for some of our activities. Today we met with those groups and played some games to get to know the other students. We’ve already met so many new people! We also spent some time at the barn. It was a beautifully warm and sunny Colorado day. We’re looking forward to soaking up the weather, making new friends, and having fun!

We’ve arrived! Everyone is safe and sound at the ranch after a long day of travel. Tonight we met some of the staff at the ranch and all the other students on the trip with us. PIE IL – Thursday & Friday, Days 3 & 4
Wow, is it the end of the week already? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun! We’re having a blast so far at the ranch! Yesterday we spent time with our squads and cycled through different stations to experience a handful of new things. Today we got some community service hours while helping out around the ranch (and we even did a little creative writing!). So far things are off to a terrific start!
Here we are horsin’ around at the barn!
At the ranch we take a break from blogging over the weekend so that we can put all of our energy into having fun! Check back on Monday to see what we get up to! We will be sleeping in, riding the horses, and going on a hike. Get ready for some awesome pictures!
PIE IL – Wednesday, Day 2
Wednesday was a busy day! It started with a delicious hot breakfast! Then we got together with our small groups and did some rotations; We started our academics, got to know each other by playing games and visited the barn! At the barn we met all the horses and small animals (alpacas, llamas and goats!)
This afternoon we are hoping to have some photo updates, so make sure to check back!

We made it! Everyone arrived safe and sound at the ranch tonight. We went over some rules and expectations with the program facilitator and got to meet all of the awesome RAs that will be guiding us through our activities while we are here at the ranch. We are looking forward to the fun activities in store for us tomorrow! Check back here throughout our trip to see some pictures and read some posts about what we get up to.

OFL Santa Clarita Valley Ventura: Monday, Day 7
We had a great start to the week today. The weather was awesome and we got to get outside and soak up the sun! Some of us even ventured down to the volleyball and basketball courts for a little friendly competition.
Here is what one student had to say about today:
This morning after breakfast we did check-ins. We then did an activity where we all got to anonymously show gratitude and appreciation to everyone. After a delicious lunch, we did work projects. We then did skits about what we learned. Then a dinner of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and veggies. (P.S. Hi Mom!) — Isabella Dobin
