Thursday was a warm day! So to help keep the animals cool, we gave them a bath!

Just a note, we don’t blog over the weekends here at the Ranch, but make sure to check back Monday afternoon for a few updates and photos from Saturday and Sunday. Over the weekend, the students get to sleep in, take a break from the academics and ride horses!

We made it to the Ranch last night! It was a little bit of a long trip, but we are safe and sound. This morning we had a great breakfast and a check in with our small groups. Then we started rotations, so we are spending some time at the barn, some time doing team-building activities and some time doing academics. Our academics today are mostly focused on Colorado and ranch animals.

We can’t believe we have been here a week! As our time here is winding down we are excited to come home, but sad to leave this beautiful place. Here are some photos of what has been happening the last couple of days.

Over the weekend we went on a great hike! The scenery was amazing! Like nothing we have ever seen before!

We are having a great time here in CO! The weather has been beautiful and the staff has been very welcoming. We already done a lot of activities at the barn, including meeting the horses, llamas, alpacas and goats!

Today we learned how to measure and weight horses. We also listened to chest sounds.

Azja welcomed all the attention and was a very sweet girl!

We are looking forward to more beautiful days in the mountains and everything else the Ranch has to offer!

It’s been a busy few days at the Ranch! We done a few horseback rides, had some work projects and done a bunch of academics! The weather has worked in our favor – not much rain and mostly while we are inside. Here are a few photos from horse riding!

Today was another beautiful day! We learned parts of the horses in a beautiful outdoor classroom.  In the afternoon we arranged and planted flowers as a work project.
