Yesterday it snowed!! Now everything is covered with a beautiful layer of white!

After some time outside, we warmed up with academics and puzzle time!

Just a note, we don’t blog over the weekends here at the Ranch, but make sure to check back Monday afternoon for a few updates and photos from Saturday and Sunday. Over the weekend, the students get to sleep in and take a break from the academics. Some students will have a chance to horseback ride and everyone will get to go on a hike on Sunday afternoon!

We made it to the Ranch! Everyone is in good spirits and happy to be here! Yesterday, our first full day here, we got to start interacting with the horses. We look forward to all the activities the 9 days hold.

And then we went on a college tour! We learned all about college and walked around a campus.

This morning we went on a little hike, it was beautiful! We are sad to see our time here at the Ranch end, but also excited to come back to CA and see our families.

The students enjoyed some morning activities. These activities are chosen by staff and will vary during sessions.

During the afternoon, we did a large group activity and had work projects time.

Some of us made muffins in the kitchen.

In the morning we helped feed the horses and small animals.

We also took the small animals out of their stalls and took them to the outside pen.

And a few of us got to ride the horses!

Other students helped with work projects around the barn.

Saturday we took a break from academics and had a bunch of fun!

After a day of fun and games, we made some pizzas for dinner! It was cool; we shaped the dough, and got to put on all of our favorite toppings! Yummy!

Sunday we went on a hike and enjoyed the great outdoors.

Today we went on a hike! It was sunny and warm.

We’ve been working a lot on our academics the last couple of days and we are still having a blast! We also celebrated a birthday Sunday!
