Monday the students went on a field trip into Estes and then into Boulder. It was a fun day learning a little history about Estes and then touring a college in Boulder.

More photos from this weekend – Saturday we had a pizza party! Students got to make pizzas with a partner and chose their own toppings.

Sunday afternoon we went on a hike!

Thursday was a beautiful day at the Ranch! The students learned how to tack a horse and they also helped move some hay in the barn for a work project.

Lunch was delicious!

Just a note, we don’t blog over the weekends here at the Ranch, but make sure to check back Monday afternoon for a few updates and photos from Saturday and Sunday. Over the weekend, the students get to sleep in and take a break from the academics. Some students will have a chance to horseback ride and everyone will get to go on a hike on Sunday afternoon!

Here are some photos from yesterday! We had a great day learning about different aspects of the Ranch. We spend some time at the barn getting to know the horses too! That was a highlight for most students.

We arrived safe and sound at the Ranch late last night! This morning we are sleeping in and going to have a late breakfast. After breakfast, we are going to start getting into our small groups that we will do a lot of activities with over the course of the next week. We are going to play games to get to know each other and also take time to get introduced to the Ranch.
