We are excited to welcome the Burbank Bears to the Ranch!  Everyone arrived safely Tuesday night and had a great first full day yesterday.  We spent the day getting to know each other, the Ranch staff and the animals that call the Ranch home! Here are photos from the first two days of the trip.

 

The weather here at the Ranch has been beautiful – very sunny and warm (by Colorado standards!).  Yesterday, we grabbed the sunscreen, water and other outdoor gear and went on a hike! We saw some spectacular views.

Our students had a great weekend and are really starting to make lasting friendships. Everyone continues to have positive attitudes and we are so happy to get to know each and every student.

We are happy to announce that all the students have made it safe and sound to the Ranch! We are so excited to have our first group of 2017! The students seem energetic and ready for the week.

Have an Awesome Weekend!!

Monday was another cold day at the Ranch! It was a little snowy. We spent some time working on our academics.

We’ll start the photos off with some extra ones from the weekend.

Here we are yesterday, playing games and working on academics.

This weekend we had time to relax! We put away the academics; instead we played games and more students got to go horseback riding. We also took a hike in the snow!

Friday was an amazing day! It snowed here at the Ranch!! And our first group of students got to ride horses.  We also did a few more work projects and hiked in the National Forest land by the Ranch.

We are having a great time! We’ve been learning so much about horses – how to feed, groom, and saddle! It’s still cold, but we are bundling up to stay warm.  All the hard work keeps us warm too!  Here are some shots of us feeding horses, doing work projects at the barn and in the kitchen.  We’ve also been working at academics.  There has, of course, been time to hang out and have fun!

We’ve made it to the Ranch safely! Here is one photo of our travels.

So far we have enjoyed ourselves – we are starting to get to know the other students here, as well as the staff.  The weather is very cold, so we are thankful for the warm Lodge and the hot, delicious food and beverages.  Here are some photos of us getting to know each other by playing games.

Our time here at the Ranch is winding down! Can’t believe we will be coming home tomorrow.  We are working on finishing our academics for the trip, as well as enjoying the last of Ranch life.  We are also looking forward to seeing it snow; the area is suppose to get some snow this afternoon! That would be the perfect ending to this great trip.
