We’re really getting into ranch life now! Today we learned a lot about horses and got to tack up the horses as a group.

We took a beautiful hike in the snow with Mount Meeker as a backdrop.

We played in the snow, saw the ruins of an old mining camp, and learned what a Ponderosa Pine smells like.

After our hike, it was time for our work projects!

We were rewarded with delicious food!  And had plenty of time for fun!

We learned about the shooting in our community and held a moment of silence for the victims of such a tragedy. We’re all thinking of families and the people in our community. We’re all feeling tremendously grateful for this life experience we’re having and that those we love are safe.

Students got settled into their rooms and learned about the Ranch rules.  Students also learned  about all the animals on the ranch.  Students attended a class on horses and finished up their unit workbooks afterwards.  During a day hike in the snow students spotted 2 large wild moose!  Delicious food throughout the day.
